Half year update

We have been engaged a week shy of half a year! So we do have some updates regarding the wedding planning.

As you may know, we hired an Italian wedding planner, Simonetta Pollera, with whom we have accomplished a lot of things already within the last few months. She has helped us with many things regarding the wedding such as being our main contact person for our many vendors and doing the contract negotiations for us.

What I am most excited about is that we FI-NAL-LY have our wedding venue! As we were trying to get a venue that was still available on our preferred wedding date (September 30) it took a lot of effort as many venues were already booked or did not fit our budget, but Simonetta luckily managed to find a venue that fit our wishes. We will visit the venue in February to do a tasting of the menu and for me to have a make-up and hair trial session.

Because we finally booked our venue, we were also able to finally send our Save-the-dates to our family so that they can ask for some days off for our wedding weekend. So far we have booked our venue, my make-up and hair artist and all of the flights for us and our family. We are currently still looking for our photo- and videographer, our florist, our ceremony musician and our celebrant.

But even after that, there is still so much more to do! Such as finding our wedding outfits...
