Honeymoon update — week 1

As many have asked about our trip to Japan, I'll try to update you all on our shenanigans in this wonderful country. We are officially on day 8 of 27 of our honeymoon and are enjoying everything so far. It has been very busy though, so my intention of posting honeymoon updates every few days has not been fulfilled until today. I'll have to keep it short this time though as we are travelling from Tokyo to Hakone tomorrow morning and it is currently 00:30 in the night here.
Tokyo
After travelling for more than a day from the Netherlands to Tokyo, Joey and I stayed in Tokyo for a few days. During these days we have visited many famous landmarks and have eaten at popular food spots in the city.
Additionally, we booked a day trip to Lake Kawaguchi which contained all the well-known hotspots of sightseeing for Mount Fuji. Unfortunately, the mountain was enshrouded by clouds, so we were not able to see it. But it did not ruin the fun as we were still able to see Lake Kawaguchi, the famous Chureito Pagoda and Oishi Park among others.
Nikko
In between the days in the very busy city, we booked a night in the scenic area of Nikko, Tochigi. This was very different from the city and was an absurdly beautiful area to visit. We visited Kegon Falls there and the shrine with the most embellishments in Japan.
For now, this is all I can update you all on, however, the past few days have been packed with many activities and places I want to tell you more about!
