100 days left!
22 June 2023
It has been a few months since our last blog post and during this time we have continued arranging the wedding and reception. Now there are only 100 days left before our wedding in Italy and 107 days till our reception which means we only have a quarter of our engagement time left!
As the wedding is nearing quite quickly, it is only logical that we almost always get asked how the wedding planning is progressing. All large and important stuff has been taken care of already such as our venues, photographers/videographers, musicians/DJ and such.
After our visit to our Italian venue in February, we also sent out all of the invitations for both the wedding and reception. We have gotten a few responses via the website already!
The invitations
We have made the invitations ourselves for the most part and had to construct around 60 invitations in total. While it took some time to do this, it was also very much fun! The wax seal and embossing stamp were designed by us to make them even more unique and personal to us. I am also very happy about the personal QR codes for the RSVP forms. We hope that it simplified the process of replying to our invitations.

The wedding attire
Another important aspect of the wedding is our attire. While I have not seen my wedding dress since ordering it in January yet, Joey already managed to arrange his wedding suit. He visited several tailors and looked at a few fabrics and other suit-related stuff before deciding on a certain design. Honestly, I am not able to tell you much about it since I was not allowed to see it, just like Joey was not allowed to see my wedding dress yet. He picked up the finished suit several days ago and now there is a suit bag hanging in our closet that I am absolutely not allowed to look into!
Planning the honeymoon
As we are starting to have some spare time, we started arranging our 4-week honeymoon to Japan! Some of you may know that Joey and I have a large list of places we wish to travel to. Before Covid-19 we were even planning on going on a world trip for a few months. Our world trip eventually turned into an Asia and Australia trip, until we cancelled our entire trip altogether due to Covid.
But now that we have the opportunity to travel again, we are planning on going to our number 1 destination which is Japan! We have already booked our flights and have made a general plan for our time there.

So for the next 100 days, we will be planning our last wedding and reception details and our big Japan honeymoon.
